Our Final Show of the Summer

Hello all! As is customary, Extra Topping will be on holiday in August and then back again on 19th September. We got an absolute bonanza of a summer show for you. With:

Ellen Turnill Montoya is a British-Mexican creative, art director and performer based in London.

She performs as a giant hand called Mr Handsome and has had a flurry of of 5 star reviews.

JoJo Maberly is an award-winning standup and musical comedian. In 2023, JoJo won the ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the Musical Comedy Awards for her ‘impressive musical chops’ (BeyondTheJoke). Since then, JoJo has written for BBC Radio 4, become a Regional Finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards on BBC Three, and in January 2025, JoJo was crowned WINNER of the Bristol Comedy Competition! JoJo is currently working on her sell-out WIP show Angst & Angstability, a comedy short, as well as a show as her character ‘Hattie’ – a TikTok obsessed Vicar.

Give them a romantic location and the cast of Stella will improvise a whole rom-com on the spot! Stella are a house team at Blanche Improv, London.

Jess González, aka Jess “The Mess,” is a Spanish comedian, writer, and director based in London. Her work is deadpan, absurd, and stupidly smart.

On stage she performs as David Lynch back from the dead and Marina Abramović completing mundane tasks with unsettling sincerity — blending impersonation, physical comedy, and improvisation.

She co-created and starred in Bitching Kills and wrote and directed an episode of the award-winning Spanish web series Dinosaurio. Her work has been shown in Spain, Italy, and the UK.

She is currently part of ComedyLab at TorinoFilmLab, developing new comedy for screen — while continuing to cause mild concern in live rooms.
